I am a gamer, and am looking for a career, hopefully in gaming. I am a big fan of Treyarch, who made the Black Ops games and World at War in the Call of Duty series. Now, I am a little biased because i have grown up around gaming, specifically COD. Now i'm not saying that working for Treyarch is the best job on the planet, but i am saying that it is the ideal dream job for gamers like me.
The reason I find that working for Treyarch would be the ideal job for me is because:
Treyarch is also known for their creativeness in the COD Zombies mode. I have played a ton of this, and I can say from experience that it is great. It has a very interesting storyline. Can get a feeling of intensity at certain points in the game. The game also has great character development, and can lead to fans having a high interest in the character.
This is a picture of Treyarch's newest COD Which will be released on November 6, 2015. In this image you can see gameplay of the games singleplayer mode. It features a new weapon unique to the singleplayer only. Sorry for all of you previous gen owners, because the singleplayer mode for BO3 will only be availible on next gen consoles.
Black Ops Three GameplayNow the job I have always wanted to have at Treyarch is to be a system designer. The system designer basically works from high level design direction, you create and refine a series of proposals and prototypes that will be developed into clear designs and requirements ready for implementation. Once in production, you will own the features from start to finish and have responsibility for implementation details, tuning and fun factor. This basically means you will control the games mechanics and the all out feel of the game.
Now for the actual requirements to work as a Sysetem designer at Treyarch.
Treyarch is looking for talented and experienced Combat & Systems designers to work directly with Senior Combat & System Designer, Design Leads and the Studio Design Director to build compelling and fun gameplay systems. The ideal candidate has first-person shooter, AAA console development experience working at the crossroads of gameplay and social systems. This means you will need to have experience working on FPS games. So in order to work in this possition, you need to work somewhere else first.
I am an ultra nerd in case you haven't noticed and I love doing computer science jobs. And I also love video games, so working as a system designer at Treyarch is THE job for me. The actual computer science behind this job is making and working on how the game plays and flows. Basically it is all about coding. which is what i am learning right now! See, i am already on the path to working for Treyarch! A system designers salary is typically around 76,000 dollars, which for me would only be a bonus.
